A focused and productive International Educationalist who has 30+ years of experience working in education at a senior level as Principal/Head/Consultant both in the UK and abroad. Provides vision and leadership to deliver the strategy and compliance to optimize students’ progress. Uses this knowledge to guide educational settings in governance, regulations, policies, law, standards and rules. Utilises superior interpersonal skills to build relationships that drive forward initiatives and works collaboratively for the good of the students, parents, partnership schools and governing bodies. Brings to each role a unique understanding of what is required in terms of commercial and financial acumen to enable schools to grow and flourish.

ASA is a young inclusive association which promotes collaboration between schools. It started with a group of School Heads who had a deep commitment to supporting excellence through partnership.

  • Coordinates the activities of 16 international schools in Abuja from a UK base

  • The mission of the Association is to lay down a structure and set professional standards for ethical norms and values, improve the quality of education, operate closely and in collaboration within the framework of the law and create opportunities for all round educational training

  • Provides direction with regard to achieving the mission alongside sharing good practice and continuum with regards to academic, training, purchasing, cultural and extra-curricular activities

BNA is a secondary co-education establishment offering both the British Curriculum and West African Examinations with full boarding facilities available to all students. Currently managing remotely from a UK base.

  • Provides solid leadership for the running of the secondary and 6th form schools comprising of 200+ pupils and 60+ staff promoting excellence in teaching and learning

  • Establishes a schoolwide vision of commitment and high standards for the success of all pupils

  • Puts learning firmly at the heart of all activities, ensuring pupils develop educationally, socially and holistically

  • Provides effective leadership to drive forward performance from all – teachers and ancillary staff down to pupils

  • Works relentlessly to improve achievement by focusing on delivery instruction and high expectations

  • Coaches and mentors teachers to continuously improve and creatively overcome problems

  • Manages people, data and processes to work together in harmony to develop, monitor and assess progress • Recruits the highest calibre of candidates for delivery of the curricula and pastoral care

  • Completes all aspects of the ‘behind the scenes’ crucial aspects of the school including finance, inspections, compliance, marketing, pastoral care and international partnerships/sponsorships



December 2015 - August 2016 

Supported recognised institutions from many ISA registered schools, colleges and university international departments, including those from The Russell Group.

  • Provided individual advice and troubleshooting guidance on all matters, including academic teaching, boarding, pastoral care, HR and recruitment of staff and students, advisory boards, partnerships QA and inspection preparation to a number of international colleges around the UK

  • Established strong relationships and worked on projects including showing the benefits of installing a management system, how to safely run boarding facilities, how to increase international numbers etc.




September 2004 - December 2015

Founded in 1967, the College is an independent day and boarding College for boys and girls aged between 12-19 years. It aims to provide a safe and tolerant co-educational environment which allows individual expression and development.

  • Diligently carried out the day-to-day management responsibilities for a busy College, problem solving and taking decisions decisively and delivering the aims of the College

  • Served as Head of Economics, Accounting and Business Studies, Deputy Director, Acting Director of Studies and Acting Director of Boarding until promoted to Assistant Principal position in 2010

  • Introduced the University Foundation Partnership Programme with external partners abroad, preparing students for admission to top UK universities

  • Created solid policies and procedures to protect the College from risk, by training and educating staff, communicating effectively, carrying out internal audits and documenting appropriately for compliance

  • Focused on all aspects of administration and oversaw the external communications of Brook House College
